Our cooperative preschool is guided by a dedicated group of current parent and alumni parent volunteers who generously give their time, skills, and hearts to support our school community. Our board members work collaboratively to ensure a nurturing, well-run environment where children can learn, play, and grow. As parents themselves, they bring thoughtfulness, care, and a shared commitment to early childhood education. And because we’re a school that celebrates the joy of childhood, each board member bio includes their favorite children’s book — a small glimpse into the stories that inspire them both at home and in the classroom.
Meet the Board Members
Elizabeth Consani
Co-President
Not to be confused with “Teacher Elizabeth”, Elizabeth Consani is the preschool Co-President and her day job is working for Multnomah County. She is mom of two alumni students (who are now in their late teens) and she no longer drives a mini-van or keeps kid-friendly snacks stashed in her purse. She has held many positions on the preschool’s board and in many capacities of parent organizations at PPS where her kids attended school.
She is passionate about the needs of children and their families and is the guiding principle for the decisions made at Cathedral Park Preschool. In addition to her family, her loves are community, art, and our planet. Favorite food: “I really can’t get enough beets right now.”
Co-President
Ashlee Lauer
"There is a house, a napping house, where everyone is sleeping."
Ashlee Lauer is mom to an amazing three year old and is the current Cathedral Park Co-President. Ashlee works as a mental health therapist helping people throughout Oregon, Washington, and Utah with a variety of mental health concerns. Outside of work, Ashlee loves reading, running, trying new restaurants, and exploring parks with her family and dogs.
Vice President
Alison Warren
Alison is the mom of two alumni and is currently serving as the Vice President. She also works as the Insurance Director for Parent Child Preschools Organization where she provides resources and support to cooperative preschools in Oregon and Washington. Alison loves going for walks or runs in the neighborhood and is always excited to run into CPP families. When she is not working, volunteering or watching her kids play sports, Alison loves to get outside with her family to hike, ski, or go backpacking.
Erin Wasley
Secretary
Erin is mom to 4 and 6-year old kiddos and the current Secretary. Erin has worked as an attorney in the areas of family and immigration law and now volunteers to help her community in North Portland. Erin is excited to be a part of the Cathedral Park Preschool community and to serve as secretary.
Erin enjoys baking sourdough bread, reading, going for walks while listening to a podcast or audiobook, and traveling the world. Can’t live without: Mexican food!
Lillian Lauer
Treasurer
Lillian is the current Treasurer. She is mom to two boys, the younger of whom joined Cathedral Park Preschool (CPP) in spring 2025. Like Mrs. Mallard from Robert McCloskey’s Make Way for Ducklings—a story set in her hometown of Boston—she loves keeping everything on track and moving smoothly.
When she isn’t collecting tuition payments or managing the books, Lillian works as an HR professional for start-ups, plans events, moonlights as a professional organizer and manages a short-term vacation rental.
She’s a former long-distance runner and ultramarathoner who is now aspiring to be a cyclist and weightlifter.
Megan Pardee
Membership Coordinator
Megan Pardee is a mom to a 5-year-old current Cathedral Park Preschool student and a step mom to a 26-year-old college graduate. Megan spends her time tending her garden, wild crafting herbal medicine, swimming in lakes and helping people feel better in their bodies as a massage therapist in Southeast Portland. Her favorite Halloween costume is witch. As the Membership Officer for Cathedral Park Preschool she loves to find a way to make room in the classroom for your kiddo.
Micaleigh Burgess
Fundraising Coordinator
Micaleigh is a mom of two who swears by the book Too Much Noise—a story that reminds us how a little perspective can show us just how wonderful a busy home can be. She is a full-time caregiver for her kids and niece during the day, and a freelance graphic designer in the evenings. Micaleigh is thrilled to serve as the Fundraising Coordinator this year; if you have a creative idea for a school fundraiser or want to get involved, she’d love to hear from you!
Classroom Rep
Katt Giatis
Katt is the Classroom Rep and a mom of two, with her son now in his second year at CPP. The book Miss Rumphius has been a longtime favorite since her own childhood, and she loves that it celebrates an independent woman who leaves the world more beautiful than she found it.
In her (mostly nonexistent) free time, Katt likes to start more projects than she can finish, mostly sewing and repair projects. She is drawn to the Japanese concept of kintsugi — a mending technique that honors the cracks or broken pieces of something, and repairs it in a beautiful way to make them part of the story. She also loves baking, gardening, and nurturing things back to life. A longtime dancer before motherhood, Katt is slowly finding her way back to the joy of movement again.
